President
Hi there! My name is Anna Morris, and I am the President of Honors Student Council! I joined HSC my freshman year and was a member of the Outreach Committee, sparking my love for exploring the city. Through HSC, I have found a strong community that has helped me grow and realize my passions! Outside of HSC, I am a senior Geography and Urban Studies student. I work as a Transportation Planner, helping to make Kentucky communities safer and more connected! Outside of all that, you can find me taking walks at Cherokee Park, playing board games with my friends, or drinking an iced Americano!

Treasurer
Hello, I’m Kelsey Raymer and I’m the current Treasurer of HSC! I’m a Senior political science and social work major on the pre-law track. I joined HSC because I wanted to build community with the people around me and host events that push the boundaries for student involvement. Since joining HSC, I have met so many amazing people that I’m happy to call my friends. All of which have contributed to the amazing experience I’ve had on campus. In addition to HSC, I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, a Porter Scholar, and a McConnell Scholar. Outside of clubs you’ll probably find me hanging out with friends, reading, going to museums, and more than likely drinking a matcha.
Academics provides academic support to students and connects students and staff with research/career opportunities across disciplines. We have done a Research and Mentorship Roundtable annually, a lecture series, and a Metro Council panel. We hope to become a vessel for students to get access to professional and academic opportunities happening in Louisville.

Outreach focuses on connecting students to the greater Louisville community. Too often, students end up spending the majority of their time on campus, rarely venturing into the city to see all it has to offer. Outreach seeks to solve this issue by bringing bits of Louisville to campus! Some of our events this past year include Outreach October, Small Press and Arts Festival, Savoring Black Excellence, and Battle of the Bands. Outreach provides many opportunities to get involved in the Louisville community and art scene while supporting locals and having fun!
Hi! I'm Lin and I'm the Vice President of Outreach on Honors Student Council! I'm currently majoring in Geography with double minors in Sustainability and Public Health. I joined HSC because I wanted to join a group of folks passionate about creating community on campus and I am SO grateful that I did! Outside of HSC, I'm involved in an interdisciplinary research project on campus exploring equitable nature-based solutions. After graduation, I hope to continue the kind of work I do on HSC: engaging with the community and providing support and resources for all people.

The goal of the Service committee is to provide opportunities for students to volunteer and to engage in the community around us. Our biggest event is the Nonprofit Fair where 52 nonprofits talked to students about their different volunteer and internship opportunities. We also have semesterly fundraising weeks, and this past year we raised over $1,500 for two local nonprofits! We also have events like Volunteer Fair, Pack and Give Back, and other on-campus volunteering events that allow students to help out nonprofits without having to leave campus!
Hello! My name is Marissa Gibson, and I serve as HSC’s Service Vice President. I am currently a third-year student studying Nonprofit Development (Individualized Major) with minors in Business Administration and Finance. I have a passion for helping others and improving communities. My goal is to work in development (fundraising) for nonprofit organizations across Kentucky. I joined HSC during my freshman year to find a supportive community on campus, and that’s exactly what I found! I have been on the council for three years, during which I’ve made countless amazing memories, connections, and friendships. One of my favorite events is our annual Nonprofit Fair, so please feel free to ask me about it! Outside of school and HSC, you can usually find me spending time with my cat, Sammy, playing board games, working on puzzles, or crafting. I also volunteer regularly at a local nonprofit.

Social committee puts on many social events across campus to get students involved and connected on campus. We put on a lot of seasonal and holiday events, our biggest being the Fall Festival.
Hi my name is Griffin Harding and I am the current Social VP for Honors Student Council. I am a junior studying History and Art History. I joined HSC to find a group of people I could connect with and plan events that I felt had effects on the campus community. HSC has been one of my favorite parts of college so far and I encourage everyone to apply if interested. I am also an Ambassador Peer Mentor for the Student Success Center, so I love to help incoming freshman when I can. Outside of school I love visiting cafe's with friends, going to museums, and watching movies. If you ever see me and have questions always feel free to say hi!

Social Media is based on marketing the events produced by the other HSC committees, meaning there is a lot of collaboration between this committee and the others. We mainly post about events through the HSC Instagram account (@uofl_hsc) and are in charge of the Honors Student Council website, which you are on right now. :)
Hi! My name is Pooja Gadireddy, and I’m a senior majoring in Public Health on the Pre-Dental track with a Biology minor. I currently serve as the Social Media Coordinator for HSC. I joined HSC during my sophomore year to become more involved with the honors community on campus, and I can proudly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. As Social Media Coordinator, I get to freely express my creative side, which isn’t something I often do in my coursework. Outside of HSC, you’ll likely find me listening to music, spending time with my roommates, or at the dental school working as an intern!

I believe that the honors program provides many great opportunities, and I find great fulfillment being a part of planning opportunities for the student body. Outside of HSC, I am also a Porter scholar, an MLK scholar, and I serve as the social media/outreach chair for the MLK Scholar Society RSO.
